James H Privoznik's Obituary
James(Jim) Henry Privoznik of Oshkosh Wisconsin died of a stroke on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah at the age of 78.
Jim was born October 5, 1936 in Oshkosh to Martha and Joe Privoznik. He attended Saint John’s Catholic Grade School, South Park Middle School and graduated from Oshkosh High in 1954. Jim served eight years in the Naval Reserves during peace time. He married Corrine(Corky) Heideman on February 9, 1963 at Saint John’s Catholic Church in Oshkosh. They spent 52 wonderful years together and proudly raised two children Laura and Paul.
Jim was employed by Gilbert Paper Company for 41 years where he worked as a millwright and color engineer until he retired in 1998.
Jim enjoyed scuba diving in his younger years, was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed his time at the family cottage on Pearl Lake. He was a big Packer, Badger, Brewer, and NASCAR racing fan. He took pleasure in watching his grandchildren once a week in their younger years and later enjoyed attending their various school activities and sporting events. He was a great listener, he especially enjoyed hearing others hunting and fishing stories.
Jim is survived by his wife: Corky, daughter Laura (Mike) Senderhauf and their children Andrew and Megan, son Paul (Sue) and her children and his stepchildren Nate, Nicole and Kelly and their 9 grandchildren; David, Darren, Alexis, Bryce, Josh Jr, Kendra, Drexton, Katlynn and Kiara, sister Lorraine( Fritze) Dahl, sister Betty Caldwell, sister-in-law Beverly (Dusty) Hannis, and many nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Edward and his wife Janie, sister Dorothy Merten and her husband Merlin, brother-in-law Fred Caldwell and brother-in-law Jerry Heideman.
The family would like to thank the EMT’s, the staff at Mercy Medical and Theda Clark and Hospice for keeping him comfortable during his final days. They would also like to thank Dr. Gremminger and her staff at Michael D. Wachtel Cancer Center. The family appreciates the help given by family and friends, especially Marilyn and Bob Paulick.
Memorial services for Jim will be Monday, July 27, 2015 at 6:00 pm in the Fiss and Bills Poklasny Funeral Home, the Rev. William VandeKreeke officiating. Family and friends may call at the Funeral Home Monday, from 4pm until the time of services.
