James Robert Werner's Obituary
James Robert Werner (79), born October 11th, 1945, from Oshkosh, WI passed away
peacefully on June 30th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and kindness that will
live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
James was a devoted husband, having shared 55 wonderful years of marriage with the love
of his life, Carol Jean Werner (Parker). The two were married on May 9th, 1970, and together
built a life rooted in love, laughter, and unwavering support for each other.
He is survived by his beloved wife Carol; his son Doug Werner and daughter-in-law Julie;
and their two children, Rachel Werner (26) and Charlie Werner (24). He is also survived by
his daughter Clare Kahn and son-in-law Dan Kahn, along with their son, Riley Kahn (18).
His grandkids were a bright light in a grandfather’s world.
James will be remembered for his love of life, sharing stories, traveling, and enjoying time
with family and friends. He touched the lives of all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed, but the love he gave and the memories he created will be
cherished forever.
Visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church (370 Bowen Street, Oshkosh, WI 54901) on
Monday, July 7th from 10:00am – 11:00am followed by a memorial service at 11:00am.
Following the service Jim will be taken to Fish Lake Cemetery at N4065 7th Lane, Hancock,
WI for burial at 1:00pm. For those family members and friends wanting to attend the burial,
lunch will be provided immediately following ~1:45pm at The Moose Inn at W6846 State
Road 21, Wautoma, WI.
