Jana L. Spanbauer's Obituary
Jana Leah (Peterson) Spanbauer, age 82, of Oshkosh, passed away on April 15, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 9, 1942, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to William and Margorie Peterson. Jana married Richard Spanbauer on February 10, 1962. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2003.
Jana was employed in various roles, including as a seamstress at Kings Industry and in injection molding at Evco Plastics, formally retiring in 2003. In retirement, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing, diamond art, plastic canvas crafts, and, most of all, spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her children: Lisa (David) Cartwright, Jody L. Spanbauer, and Richard Jr. (Jody R.) Spanbauer; grandchildren: Stephanie (Mike) Alvarez, Ashley and special friend Jim, Tyler and special friend Brandon, Nathan, Nolan, Haleigh, and Hayden; and great-grandchildren: Madysen, Michael Jr., Manuel, and Maxwell Alvarez. She is also survived by her brothers, James and Scott Peterson, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, David Peterson, and her niece, Debbie Reetz.
Funeral services for Jana will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home (865 S. Westhaven Dr.). A time for visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Monday.
