Jean E. Bett's Obituary
Jean E. Bett, age 85, of Oshkosh died at St.Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, WI on June 29, 2014. She was born on October 13, 1928 in Oshkosh, WI a daughter of the late Otto F. and Ethel M. (Nims) Leu. On August 12, 1950 she was married to Gust Bett Jr., who preceded her in death on January 10, 1981. Jean is survived by sons, Thomas (Mary ) Bett of Oshkosh, Richard (Jules) Bett of Chapman, KS and a daughter, Susan (Steve) Bachem of Ellison Bay, WI. She is also survived by grandchildren, Benjamin Bett, Aleisha (Brian) Chronister, David (Anne) Bachem and Brian Bachem. Other survivors are sisters, Irene Tyson of Oshkosh and June Grunewald of Stevens Point, WI and many nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and two sisters. She was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church. Jean was always one to help others and enjoyed volunteering for several local organizations for many years. Per Jean’s wishes, a private family service will be held with inurnment taking place in Lake View Memorial Park Cemetery.
