Jeanette Rieckman's Obituary
Jeanette A. Rieckman, 79 of Oshkosh died Thursday, May 14, 2015 at her home. She was born December 4, 1935 in Omro the daughter of the late Orval and Katheryn Buchhamer Freeman. She retired from Oshkosh West High School as a secretary in the guidance office. Her enjoyment in life was meeting exchange students at the High School, rescuing cats or dogs and giving them a good home. After retirement she became a demonstration lady at various food stores and Walmart and also a caregiver to those in need. It was at a grocery store that she met a special person in her life, Stanley Sperger in April of 2007. Jeanette is survived by several nieces and nephews. she was preceded in death by her parents, brother Donald freeman, sister Dorothy Danielson and step father Nyle Ross. Private family services were at Lake view Memorial Park. A memorial is being established in Jeanette (aka Jan's) name through the Oshkosh Foundation for the welfare of animals.
