Jeanne E. Noe's Obituary
Jeanne E. (Grossman) Noe, age 93, recently of New London and formerly of Oshkosh passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019. She was born September 6, 1925, to Harold L. and Christine (Steffen) Grossman of Dale.
Jeanne graduated from New London High School in 1943 and attended Northwest Institute of Medical Technology in Minneapolis, obtaining a certification as Medical Lab Technician.
She married Leo A. Noe, Jr. June 18, 1955, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville. Jeanne was employed in the Medical Laboratory at Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh for 39 years retiring in 1985.
Jeanne is survived by her sisters-in-law, Carol Grossman of Appleton, and Geraldine Cervenka of Florida; brothers-in-law, Donald and Gerald Noe, both of Oshkosh; 15 nieces and nephews Stephen (Terry) Grossman, Mark (Patty) Grossman, Robert (Jeni) Noe, Kathleen Rutz, Susan Blatz, Karen Beck, Tom Noe, Joni Stutz, Ronald Noe, David Noe, Alan Lemke, Patricia Kaberlein, Donna Molus, Steven Noe, and Michael Cervenka. She is also survived by her grand-nieces and -nephews, great-grand-nieces and -nephews, four cousins, and many close friends.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leo, her brother, Robert Grossman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Clarence and Verna Noe, Harold and June Noe, Carlton and Leona Noe, William Cervenka, Aloysius Penzenstadler, Ethel and Edwin Lemke, and Ester Lorenz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Jeanne on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11 a.m. in St. Jude Parish (St. Vincent Catholic Church) on the corner of Oregon St. and W. South Park Ave. in Oshkosh with the Rev. Louis Golamari as celebrant. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at Washington Center and St. Joseph Residence in New London for the extraordinary care they gave Jeanne.
In lieu of floral expressions, memorials may be made in Jeanne’s name to St. Vincent Catholic Church/St. Jude Parish.
