Joan E. Annis' Obituary
Joan Binder Marohl Annis passed away peacefully on March 4, 2024 at the age of 90. She was
born on July 13, 1933 to Michael and Mary(Matsche) Binder. Joan was married on April 19,
1952 to Eugene Marohl whom she was happily married to for 10 years before his passing. Joan
found love again and married Eugene Annis on February 27, 1965. They were happily married
for 45 years until his death in 2010.
Joan graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1951. She worked numerous jobs throughout her
life but she was always best at being a housewife and mother and took great pride in raising her
6 children. Joan was also a member of St. Jude Apostle Parish. She was blessed with many
great friends throughout her life.
Joan was a true Wisconsinite and had a taste for a good Brandy Old Fashion which she enjoyed
on occasion. She loved John Wayne (The Duke) and all his movies. Joan loved playing cards,
working puzzles and playing Yahtzee. Above all she enjoyed her family and friends. Spending
time with them is what made her the happiest.
Joan is survived by her children, Gene Marohl, Dottie (Glen) Durrant, Bob (Renee) Marohl,
Brian (Sherri) Annis and son in law Dave Hulet, 14 grandchildren Jason, Autumn, Amanda, Erin,
Chris, Devon, Zach, Adam, Kelsey, John, Kurt, Nick, Nicole, Jeff and 19 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, and children Sue
Hulet and Kevin Annis. She was also preceded in death by all of her siblings.
Funeral services will be held at Fiss & Bills - Poklasny Funeral Home at 865 S. Westhaven Dr. Oshkosh, Wisconsin 54904, on Tuesday March 12th. Visitation will take place starting at 3:00 pm with a service at 6:00pm.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
