Joan Schultz's Obituary
Joan B. Schultz, age 78, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. She was born on February 27, 2934 in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Robl and remained a lifelong Oshkosh resident. She married Dennis Schmid in 1953 and he preceded her in death in 1971. On November 28, 1975 she married Fernando "Fred" Schultz, who preceded her in death in 2005. Joan loved knitting, cooking, babies and her familly.
Her memory will be cherished by her five children, Karen (Gene) Frank, Steve (Stacey) Schmid, Pam (Bill) Fretchel, Pat Spaulding and Don (Debbie) Schmid; her grandchildren, Amy Spaulding, Nicholas Frank, Margo (Steve) Harrison, Cari (Justin) Julka, Benjamin Frank, Kimberly (Jacob) Fulton, Sommer (Thibault) Roux, James Schmid, Tracy Frank and Alyssa Frank; her great-grandchildren, Dylan Spaulding-Kunde, Will Harrison, Grant Harrison, Dain Harrison, Penelope "Pia" Roux and Anthony Julka. She is further survived by other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jesse (Margo Harrison) Diener.
Funeral services for Joan will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Poklasny Funeral Home, 870 W. South Park Ave. with the Rev. Fr. Luke Ferris officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Catholic Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Aurora Medical for their excellent care of their mother the past few years.
