John Francis Cunningham's Obituary
John F. Cunningham passed away at his home on February 1, 2017. He was born in Vicksburg, MS on April 22, 1955. He graduated Class of '73 from Lourdes High School. John loved boating, roller blading with his rescued Rottweilers, motorcycles, guitar playing and power lifting. His passion for powerlifting led him to ownership of Iron Works Gym and later Oshkosh Athletic Club, as well as a former partnership at Evanston Athletic Club in Evanston, Illinois. John is remembered as an engaging, witty and social person who would give you the shirt off his back, even his Hawaiian print or flannel. John was preceded in death by his brother, Paul. He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Elvira, siblings Tom, Ellen (David Verstegen), Pat, Mike, Miriam, nephews, nieces and his love, Jean. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, including his many friends. Visitation is from 4-6:30pmfollowed by a memorial service Friday, February 3rd, 2017 at Fiss & Bills - Poklasny Funeral Homes at 865 S. Westhaven Drive. Oshkosh, WI 54904
