John George Kleinschmidt's Obituary
"John George Kleinschmidt, 59 of Oshkosh, passed away unexpectedly on Thurs., Oct. 10, 2024. John was born May 30, 1965, in Oshkosh, WI., to Roger and Nancy (Joy) Kleinschmidt.
John graduated from Omro High School in 1983. He enlisted in the Marine Corps and graduated from San Diego, CA. Platoon 3103 on Dec. 16, 1983. John served 6 years in the Marine Corps Reserve.
John lived and worked in the Fox Cities area his whole life. John was a devout Christian and an active member of Oshkosh’s Living Stone Church. John was passionate about genealogy and enjoyed constructing family trees in his free time.
John is survived by his children, Bill (Sidney) and Sarah Kleinschmidt, his grandchildren, Aubree and Weston Kleinschmidt, and his siblings, Russell (Susan) Kleinschmidt and Patricia (Steven) Mueller. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Carol Davis.
A memorial service will be held Thurs., Oct. 24 at Living Stone Church, 302 Church Ave, Oshkosh, WI 54901. Visitation is from 9:30-11am, with the funeral service to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Living Stone Church’s Mercy Ministry, a cause close to John’s heart.
