John Schlaeger's Obituary
John Schlaeger, age 82, of Oshkosh passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday morning July 1, 2014. John was born in Oshkosh on July 23, 1931 the son of John and Virginia (Strachan) Schlaeger. He served his Country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Angela Brown on August 7, 1954. He was employed at Air Wisconsin for many years. John is survived by his wife; Angela Schlaeger of Oshkosh. One son; Jack (Denise) Schlaeger of Minneapolis. Two brothers; Ronald Schlaeger of Oshkosh and Roger (Rita) Schlaeger of Valders, WI. Two sisters; Cecilia Mae (Joe) Gelding of West Allis and Pauline Lindemer of Oshkosh. Two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held on Saturday July 5, 2014 at 11am at the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home 865 S. Westhaven Drive. Oshkosh, WI 54904. Father Matt Simonar will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10am until the time of service. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in John's name.
