Sadly we announce that John E Swanson passed away on July 8th at Bethel Home after having a large stroke this past fall. He was born on Jan 30, 1956 to Alvin and Violet Swanson in Marinette, WI. He joined the National Guard in 197 Read Obituary

So very sorry for losing John.
He was a fantastic co- worker & friend.
We had many crazy days working telemetry together or even when he was alone , he knew he could call me for a quick break.
After he retired, we got together several time a year for a nice meal & conversation.
I'll truly miss those times. Our last time for that was a Cozumel in Oshkosh.
John is free of pain now. I will always keep those joyful times in my heart. Miss you John.
Linda we are so sorry to hear of Swanny's passing. It doesn't seem that long ago we were at his retirement party. John was a wonderful medic and I was lucky enough to work with him. His patient care, soft spoken attitude and ability to work through any situation was remarkable. The 24 hour EMS shifts were never boring when working with John. Your Oshkosh Ambulance family will miss you, your friendship and your professionalism. Live on John with your Savior. We shall meet again my friend.
John was a good friend of mine, we enjoyed sitting out in his man cave, smoking cigars, and shooting the bull, I enjoyed working with John at Mercy, and had many a cup of his high powered coffee.
John always demonstrated kindness; compassion, excellent care and a genuine, sincere Heart to all who crossed his path. See you on the other side John.
When I first started in the ER, John was my mentor. He was so patient and kind to me, and he soon became a good friend. I will miss him.
