Joseph Reichenberger's Obituary
Joseph J. Reichenberger, age 88 of Waukau, passed away Monday morning, December 1, 2008 in the Webster Manor in Omro. On December 18, 1919, he was born in Oshkosh the son of Henry and Ida (Kotschell) Reichenberger. At a time Joe worked for Oshkosh B'gosh. For 25 years he worked for the City of Oshkosh. He was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oshkosh and was presently a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Omro. During World War II he served with the U.S. Army. As a hobby he enjoyed doing crafts. Joe was a kind and giving person and was deeply religious. Survivors include two sisters: Elanor Combs of Oshkosh and Marie Beduhn of Colusas, CA; one cousin: Florence Reichenberger a resident in the Omro Care Center and a sister-in-law: Lavona Reichenberger of Oshkosh and his best friend: Jim Wesner of Waukau and several nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers: Frank, Art, George, Robert, Harold and Ralph and four sisters: Ann, Elsie, Violet and Lucille. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon on Thursday, December 4, 2008 in St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church (Sacred Heart Site), on the corner of Knapp Street and 6th Ave., Oshkosh with Rev. Fr. Thomas Reynebeau as celebrant. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Oshkosh. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to Noon Thursday in the church.
