Joyce Baier's Obituary
Joyce A Baier (nee Schuenke), age 70, of Oshkosh, died Thursday October 22, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Oshkosh on September 11, 1945 the daughter of the late Jack and Janice Fredericksen Schuenke. Joyce graduated from Oshkosh High School. Throughout her professional career she was employed by Citizens First Credit Union (Verve) as a payroll specialist retiring after thirty nine years in September of 2014. Joyce enjoyed gardening, family trips, and gatherings, dining out with friends, was a loyal Packer fan and loved her cats Molly and Bailey Kay. She was a member of first United Methodist Church in Oshkosh.
Survivors include one daughter; Cathie (Scott) Monroe, of Omro, one granddaughter; Megan (fiancee Rachel Warner) Monroe, Oshkosh, one brother; Jim (Jean) Schuenke, Oshkosh, two nieces; Karen (Dennis) Carpenter, Zionsville, IN., Lisa (Tom) Leclair, New London, one nephew; James (Lisa) Schuenke of Appleton; one uncle; Carl Umlandt, Manitowoc, three great-nieces; Skyler, Raeleigh, Aubree, and one great-nephew;Makai. Joyce is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one sister; Jean Pfaff, one nephew; Richard Pfaff, and grandparents; Waldemar and Aleine Fredricksen.
Funeral services for Joyce will be held in First United Methodist Church in Oshkosh on Wednesday October 28, at 11:00 AM with the Rev John Hobbins officiating. Burial will be in Lake view Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at Fiss & Bills –Poklasny Funeral Home (865 S Westhaven) on Tuesday October 27, from 4:00-8:00 PM, and also at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established.
