Joyce T. Meyer's Obituary
Joyce T. Meyer, age 91, of Oshkosh, died on Sunday, March 3, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born a daughter of the late John and Eleanor (Jungwirth) Ludwig on January 28, 1933 in Oshkosh. Joyce married the love of her life, Norman Meyer on February 2, 1952 and together they raised six children. Joyce was a spicy, independent woman who loved to laugh, sass and have fun. She had a great way of making friends everywhere she went, striking up a conversation with anyone who was lucky enough to meet her. Joyce always welcomed everyone into her life with open arms. Joyce and Norm greatly enjoyed traveling the world together for many years. They were married nearly 60 years before he passed away in 2011. Joyce could always brighten up a room with her happiness and infectious laugh. She had a lifelong love of Miss Piggy and The Muppets that cheerfully decorated her home. Joyce was always up for a cocktail or two at her favorite places like Packers Pub or Friar Tucks. She was also a big fan of watching game shows and loved cheering on the Green Bay Packers. Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family and watching her many grandchildren and great grandchildren grow. She was a bright star in our family who will be forever loved.
Joyce is survived by and her memory will be cherished by her two sons, John (Debbie) of Port Charlotte, FL and Gary (Nicole) Meyer of Neenah. Three daughters, Ellen (Bob) Atchison of Oshkosh, Diane (Bob) Kleeman of Fond du Lac and Sue Laux of Combined Locks. She is further survived by many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Norm, a son Paul and a sister, Barbara.
A memorial service celebrating her life will held on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 11 am in the Fiss & Bills-Pokklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Drive. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 am until the time of service.
