Joyce Marie Nabstedt's Obituary
Joyce Marie Nabstedt of Oshkosh, WI, age 73, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 24th, 2021 morning. She was born on September 19, 1947 in Franklin County, Illinois to Betty Jean and Lewis Ray Mechling. Joyce saw the world and made many friends while being an army wife and mother. She loved to garden, plant flowers, and was the most wonderful cook. Joyce loved spending time with her grandchildren. For many years she worked as the Executive Officer of the Winnebago Home Builders Association in Oshkosh. No one will ever forget the beautiful woman she was inside and out.
Joyce is survived by two daughters, Patricia Parker & Katrina Malson; son, Bob Nabstedt; eight grandchildren, Matthew (Lacey) Parker, Jacob Ramirez, Mitchell (Olivia) Malson, Alina and Zander Malson, and Mattea, Shaelyn, and Kian Nabstedt; two great-grandchildren, MJ and Matilda Parker; sister, Cindy (Fred) Strube; brother, Terry (Lynn) Mechling; and other family & friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and many other beloved family and friends.
Joyce’s ashes will be laid to rest next to her father in Southern Illinois later this year.
