Joyce M. Tucker's Obituary
Joyce M. Tucker, age 74, the most amazing Mom in the world left us on Sunday, February 2, 2014 to be with Dad. Joyce Gorny Tucker was born in Oshkosh on November 27, 1939 to Joseph and Gladys Gorrny (Padgham). She had three sisters, Carol (Gary) Spronz, Kay (Bruce) Stelzner and Elizabeth Rose Gorny. She attended St. Josaphat Grade School and graduated from Oshkosh High School the Class of 1957. Joyce married our Dad, David L. Tucker on April 25, 1959. Three of us were blessed to be their kids, Leanne Wilke of Ripon, Vicki (Richard) Paulick of Oshkosh and Linda (Tim) Wirtz. Joyce spent many years as a food service worker at Green Meadow School while we were growing up. After she retired she enjoyed reading, watching N.C.I.S. and visiting with family. She had seven grandchildren, Steven, Bradley, Andrea, Andrew, Nicole, Cody and Jessica; six great-grandchildren, with two more on the way, Kayley, Jordan, Gage, Elizabeth, James and Ava. Mom was preceded in death by our Dad, (David), her parents and her sister, Elizabeth Rose. Joyce will be greatly missed but we get some comfort knowing that she is now with Dad again.
Funeral services for Joyce will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Dr. in Oshkosh. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, from 3 p.m. until the time of service (casual attire would be appreciated by the family). Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. A memorial fund will be established.
