Julius F. Leivian's Obituary
Julius (Jay) Leivian, age 85, died with his family surrounding him on Monday, February 20, 2017 after a brief illness. Jay was born on April 9, 1931 to Christine and Jule Leivian in Slater Missouri. After completing high school, he enlisted into the Air Force and was stationed at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver Co.
Jay married Nancy L. Martin on December 27, 1951. They lived in Denver CO. and then moved to Oshkosh WI in 1959. He worked for 38 years for the US Postal Service, retiring in 1989. During this whole time he also worked for Buck Moving and Storage. In retirement, he worked as a handyman for Flanagan properties.
He is survived by his wife, three children; Steven (Cyndi) Leivian, Teresa (Paul) Prond, Mary (Steven) Taylor, 11 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death were Jay’s parents, sister, Alice Douglas, one infant sister, and his oldest son, Michael Leivian.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Fr. Matt Simonar at St. Jude the Apostle, Sacred Heart location on Friday, February 24, 2017, starting with visitation at 1 pm, followed by Mass at 3 pm.
