June Schwanke's Obituary
June M. Schwanke Passsed away peacefully at the home of her great niece, Cindy and John Duchatschek on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. She was the last living child of Herman and Martha (Rabehl) Schwanke. Born to them on June 9, 1924 in Oshkosh, WI. June was a factory worker all her life. Starting at Oshkosh Trunk Co. moving to Sexton Can Co. and finally retiring from Speed Queen Ripon, WI in 1989. June enjoyed cross stitching, gardening, and canning, and will be forever famous among her family for her sour cream nut bread. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Milton, Alvin, and Norman Schwanke. Sisters Irene Schultz, Ruth Finch-Fugler, and Mildred Cook. Survived by Sister-in-law Mavis Schwanke, many nieces, nephews, family and friends. June’s family would like to thank her nurse Noonie and the staff at Theda Care Hospice for their excellent care and compassion. A special thank you to Nicole (Matt) LaCroix, and Becky (Travis) Duchatschek for all of their help with June’s care. June’s favorite verse: For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believed in him shall not parish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 Funeral Services for June will be Friday, December 21, 2012 at 6:00pm at Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Church Ave; the Rev Jennifer Czarnota officiating. Burial will be in Ellenwood Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Church,Friday, from 4pm until the time of services
