June M. Veith's Obituary
June M. Veith, age 94 passed away peacefully on April 1, 2022 at Evergreen Nursing Home, Oshkosh. June was born June 11, 1927 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the third daughter of the late Adolph and Catherine (Redmond) Veith.
June never married. She was the loving sister to four brothers and four sisters and cherished aunt to twenty nieces and nephews. As a devoted daughter, she lived with her mother for many years and cared for her during the final years of Catherine’s life.
June lived in Oshkosh all her life, where she was a graduate of St. Peter’s Elementary school and Oshkosh High school. She was employed at the Wisconsin Axel Company until she retired in 1983.
As a devout catholic, June was a member of Saint Peter’s Catholic Church where she never missed Sunday mass and enjoyed participating in various church activities.
Very simple pleasures brought joy to June. She loved crafting such as needlepoint, embroidery, crocheting and knitting. She loved playing penny poker and other family games. She also enjoyed cooking up her dumplings with all the fixings for family and friends. June was generous and a kind soul; she was a joy to spend time with; we are proud she was a member of our family.
June is survived by one brother, William (Delores) Veith of Mountain Home, AR. She was preceded in
death by her parents; three brothers: James, Harold (Alice) Veith and Robert (Pamela) Veith; and four sisters: Sist. Marjorie O.P., Katherine (John) Hutchinson, Dolores (Robert) Kunde, and Carol (William) Selwitschka.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Parish “St. Peter’s Church” on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 11:00 am with Father Jerry Pastors, celebrant.
Family and friends may call at the Church from 10:00 AM until the time of mass. Private entombment will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
