Karl Fredrick Kallin's Obituary
Karl Fredrick Kallin, 79, of Oshkosh, found peace Friday, October 1.
Karl was born May 29, 1942, the son of the late Ruth and Herman Kallin. June 9, 1962 Karl was united in marriage to Barbara Jungwirth.
Karl devoted his life to his family. He retired in April of 2007 after working 41 years at Oshkosh Truck Corporation. Karl also helped at Jordy’s Beverage Mart and ran a fireworks stand that was fun for the whole family for 45 years!
Karl is survived by his wife Barbara of 59 years; three daughters, Lisa (Jeffrey) Featherstone and their children Grace and Ian; Cindy (Rob) Becker and their children Andrew, John and Joshua; Jodi (David) Kazmierczak and their children Jonah and Noah. Karl is also survived by his twin sister Karen Schrank, Tucson AZ, sister Linda (Daniel) Ruedinger, Oshkosh, brother-in-law Jack Ferch, Trenton GA, sister-in-law Marcia Jungwith, Oshkosh; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Karl was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Lois (Robert) Horejs, Nancy (Norbert) Konitzer, Georgia (Glen) Blackburn, Jane Ferch; Karl’s mother and father-in-law Genevieve and Jordan Jungwirth ll; brothers-in-law Allyn Schrank and Jordan Jungwirth lll.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 8, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raphael the Archangel Church 830 S. Westhaven Dr. Oshkosh, Father Tom Long officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be at St. Raphael’s from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Cemetery, Oshkosh.
