Katharine E. Zastrow's Obituary
Katharine Emma Zastrow, age 84, passed away early Tuesday morning, August 17, 2021.
Katie, as she was known to most, was born October 14, 1936 to William and Eva Baker. She married Wayne Zastrow on November 12, 1955 at St. Vincent’s Church in Oshkosh.
She spent most of her working career as an administrative assistant at various places, retiring from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, sewing and watching the birds and the wildlife from her kitchen window.
Katie is survived by her son Michael Zastrow, Oshkosh; daughters Wendy (Emil) Klabunde, Oshkosh; Julie (Andy) Bosch, Calgary Canada; and Christine (Dan) Boushley, Oshkosh; five grandchildren: Eric (Kelly) Flack, Green Bay, Jenny Flack (ShelNeil Bouchard), Calgary Canada; Lauren, Mason and Allison Boushley and two great-grandchildren: Ashelia and Skylar Flack. She is also survived by a sister Shirley and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne, her parents and sisters Marie and Lenore.
Funeral services for Katie will be held on Tuesday August 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home (865 S. Westhaven Drive Oshkosh, WI) officiated by Fr. Thomas Long. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
