Katherine Adkins' Obituary
Katherine Ann Adkins, age 36, of Oshkosh, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer with her family at her side on Friday evening, January 2, 2009 at Aurora Medical Center. She was born on March 17, 1973 in Ripon. Katherine had just started the nursing program at UWO and had worked for Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation. She greatly enjoyed time spent with her family and friends.
Her memory will be cherished by her mother, JoAnn Luedke; her father and step-mother, Robert (Loretta) Luedke; three sons, Scott Luedke, Alex Arenz and Derek Arenz; a daughter, Jasmine Mariah Adkins; brothers, Carl (Teresa) Luedke, Raymond "Ed" Luedke, William Luedke, James Luedke, Joesph Luedke and Michael Luedke; two sisters, Tammy (Thomas) Immel and Jane Luedke. She is further survived by her grandfather, Richard M. Frank, other relatives and many close friends. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Ralph Luedke; maternal grandmother, Vera Frank.
Funeral services for Katherine will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Poklasny Funeral Home, 870 W. South Park Ave. in Oshkosh with the Rev. William Van DeKreeke officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends are welcomed to a time of visitation and support for the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund will be established.
