Katherine Lizak's Obituary
Katherine Lizak, age 92, died in Oregon, WI on October 25, 2014. She was born in Redgranite, Wisconsin on August 31, 1922 to George and Sophie Lizak. Katherine lived the majority of her life with her sister Evelyn in Oshkosh, WI. The last few years of her life, Katherine enjoyed living with her sister-in-law, Irma, in Oregon, WI.
Katherine began working in the textile industry at Deltox Rug Company and later went onto working as a chiropractic assistant for 37 years with Dr. O.R. Simpson and Dr. William R. Borrmann and retired in 1987.
Katherine was a very loving and talented person, whose Catholic faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and Aglow. Katherine enjoyed gardening, sewing, and knitting, but most of all she was the happiest when spending time with family.
Katherine is survived by her sister-in-law, Irma Lizak, in addition to her nieces and nephews: Lisa, Michael, Lynn and Mark Lizak. Katherine is preceded in death by her parents George and Sophie, sister Evelyn, and brother James.
Visitation will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament (St. Peters Church), 435 High Avenue, Oshkosh, WI on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 9:30am to 10:30am, with a 10:30am Mass. Father James Jugenheimer will be the celebrant. Interment will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Oshkosh, WI.
Katherine’s kindness and compassion will be missed immensely by family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, (alz.org).
