KENNETH LICHTFUSS's Obituary
Kenneth (Worm) Lichtfuss 90 of Oshkosh, passed away on April 24, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was born June 1, 1924 in Oshkosh, WI, the son of the late Frank and Martha (Binder) Lichtfuss. Ken was an Army veteran who served in WWII. Upon his return he married Lorraine Weitenbeck. They made their home in Oshkosh and were blessed with six children. Lorraine passed away in 1963. He later met and married Arlene Prigan, a mother of two, and together raised their family. They enjoyed traveling, golfing, gardening, playing cards, and spending time with each other and their family. After spending 46 years together, Arlene passed away on February 8, 2010. Ken was a devoted husband, dad, grandfather and great-grandfather. He had many friends and a wonderful sense of humor. He is survived by two brothers, Robert (Marion) Lichtfuss, Frank (Carol) Lichtfuss, and one sister, Maggie (late Herman) Deiner. His loving sons and daughters are Richard (Janice) Prigan, Richard (Linda) Lichtfuss, Gary (Deanna) Lichtfuss, Lynn Patton (friend Marty Becker), Dan Lichtfuss, Tom (Laura) Lichtfuss, and Debra (Allen) Richter. He is preceded in death by one daughter, Gail Al-Ghetta and her husband, Sam. He was a loving grandfather to Joy Narang, Jane Mottier, Wendy Wiedmeyer, Anthony, Kent, Ameen and Nathan Al-Ghetta, Camille Schuster, Leslie Johannes, Melanie Goeckerman, Amber Smith, Robbie Griswold, Deidre Kunz, Jimmy Kunz, Rebecca Janasik, Eric Patton, Andy Lichtfuss, Teenie Lichtfuss, Lindsay Butt, Kyle Galica, Dustin Neyhard, Ashley Richter and Logan Richter. Ken also has 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Friends may greet the family from 4 - 7 pm on Wednesday, April 29 at the Poklasny Funeral Home, 870 W. South Park Ave., Oshkosh. Funeral services will be recited at 7 pm, to be led by Rev. Father William VanDeKreeke. Private burial will be held in Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Ken's family would like to thank the staff at the Bethel Home and the ICU staff at Mercy Medical Center for their kindness and care they showed Ken.
