Kenneth Charles Scholl's Obituary
Kenneth Charles Scholl, age 87, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully with his family at his side at Elijah's Place on January 1, 2025. He was born on February 5, 1937 a son of the late LaVern and Dorothy (Stoltz) Scholl. Ken proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1955-1959 and married the former Eileen Marie Thomas on March 1, 1960 in Baraboo, WI. Ken worked for and retired from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh having been the power plant superintendent. He greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing, golf, camping, gambling and card playing. Ken had served on the Town of Algoma volunteer fire department for many years and was a past member of the Otter Street Fishing Club, the Oshkosh Fishing Club and Hank's Club.
Ken is survived by and his memory will be cherished by his wife of 64 years, Eileen; two sons, Gerald (Dawn) Scholl of Oshkosh, Scott Scholl of Van Dyne; a daughter, Lori (Todd) Schneider of Oshkosh; a brother, Marvin Scholl of Fond du Lac; five grandchildren, Tyler (Danielle) Scholl, Ryan (Sydney) Scholl, Alex Scholl, Jamie Stenson and Kaci Hansen; three great-grandchildren, Brianna, Bailey and Paisley. He is further survived by other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Jeanette Chesney and Mary Klemm; three brothers, Gerald, Walter and Robert.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 11;00 am in the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Drive in Oshkosh. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10 am until the time of service. In lieu of floral expressions a number of memorials will be established in his name. The family wishes to thank the staff at Elijah's Place and Preceptor Hospice for the wonderful compassionate care that Ken received.
