Larry E. Leinweber's Obituary
Larry Elmer Leinweber died peacefully at his home on Friday March 11, 2022.
Larry was born September 16, 1937 to the late Elmer and Lorraine Leinweber. Larry married Barbara Brehmer on September 6, 1957 and were married until her passing in 2010. He worked on the family farm, Morgan Doors, Don Basler Auto, Kienast & Sons Construction Co., Neimuth Construction and Radtke Contractors Inc. Larry enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing, at his cabin up north, first in Townshend WI and later in Lakewood WI. He enjoyed outdoor activities, horseshoes, softball with family and friends, chats with his granddaughter, country music, watching and attending racing, playing the harmonica and “driving with the top down.”
Larry is survived by his children; Shawn (Jeff) Mecklenburg, Lisa (Tim) Celichowski, Belinda Mader, Terry (Leah) Leinweber and Wendy Hamilton, Siblings; Sandy (Dave) Drexler, Bill (Terri) Leinweber, Rainy (Daryl) Davis, Karen (Tim) Hutchinson, (Godson) Mark (Lori Pitt) Leinweber and Dave (Sharon) Leinweber. Larry is further survived by 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, parents; Elmer and Lorraine, sister; Beverly Faust, brothers; Robert and Daniel Leinweber.
Larry will be missed by many friends, Jack (his old roommate) and his Witzke Tuesday morning buddies.
Larry’s family would like to extend a special thank you to his neighbors for all their help.
Funeral services will be held Friday March 18, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Poklasny Funeral Home (870 W. South Park Ave). A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service.
