LAURIE PALECEK's Obituary
Laurie Jean Palecek, age 52, of Oshkosh, died at her home on Saturday June 28, 2014. She was born on March 1, 1962 the daughter of John F. and Bridget Gams Palecek. Laurie graduated from West High School in 1980 and the The University of Wisconsin, in 1993. She loved spending time with her family and her beloved cats Sassy and Panther. Laurie’s hobby was working on her stained glass projects and she made many beautiful pieces which she displayed in the many windows of her Home. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed her flower beds and the serenity of sitting in her back yard watching the birds and bunnies. Laurie was employed by IBM as an IT Technician for ATT in Appleton. She loved her job and more importantly she loved her family of coworkers.
She is survived by her loving mother Bridget Palecek, brother; David (Kelly) and their children Michelle, Madeline, Victoria and Nicholas, sisters; Gail Palecek, Christine(Brian) Baerwald, and their son Justin. Laurie is further survived by many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. She treasured all of her family and is looking down on all of us with love from Heaven.
She was preceded in death by her father; John F. Palecek.
We love you Laurie and will miss your beautiful smile and your “ I Love You's".
God saw you getting tired And a cure was not to be, So he put his arms around you, and whispered "Come to Me". With tearful eyes we watched you, And saw you pass away Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating; Hard working hands now rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
Funeral services for Laurie will be held in St Jude the Apostle Catholic Church ( Sacred Heart Site) on Friday July 11, at 5:30 PM with the Rev Matt Simonar officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 4:00 PM until the hour of services.
