LaVerne Elizabeth Peerenboom's Obituary
LaVerne Elizabeth (Leverance) Peerenboom went to join our father on Sunday November 19, 2017 at the Waterford at Oshkosh surrounded by her family. LaVerne Peerenboom was born to Albert & Amy (Williams) Leverance on May 28, 1923 in Neenah, WI. LaVerne graduated from Neenah High School. LaVerne met Harold Peerenboom and they were married September 9, 1944 in Oshkosh, WI. They resided there for their 57 years of marriage. Harold preceded LaVerne in death May 2001.
LaVerne was a housewife, mother, PTO president bluebird, and campfire girl leader. She also worked at Bethel home for a few years after her children went to school until her retirement. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren brought her so much joy, she loved her babies!
LaVerne loved making things... counted cross stitch items, sewed clothes, dolls, plastic canvas projects... we were never in need of a Kleenex box holder!
LaVerne is survived by 2 daughters and 3 sons: Cathy (Bill) Wilderman, Tracie (Dave) Murphy, Duane (Gloria) Peerenboom, Harold Peerenboom, and Jeff Peerenboom all of Oshkosh, 13 Grandchildren: Nikki Siewert, Becky Waite, Kelly Minks, Lisa (Brett) Ziarnik, Chad (Mindy) Wilderman, Shannon (Megan) Peerenboom, Quinn (Chris) Williams, Jesse (Jessica) Murphy, Angel (Gerhardt) Rodriguez, Amy (Alex Minch) Peerenboom, Joshua Murphy, Shyanne & Brady Peerenboom, 15 Great Grandchildren: Dominic Helm, Tyler, Connor, & Isaiah Ziarnik, Henry Wildt, Robyn Minks, Samantha Siewert, Te’ja Waite, Colin Wilderman, Hailey & Kaleb Peerenboom, Jayce Geier, Hunter Murphy, Lokklyn Minch, and Baby Williams. LaVerne is also survived by her twin brother Leonard Leverance and sister-in-law Margaret Zimmerman and many nieces & nephews, 2 step grandsons: Michael (Gail) & John Drexler, 3 Step Great Grandsons: Jared Drexler, Gerardo & Geovany Rodriguez, 1 step Great Granddaughter: Hanalise Rodriguez.
LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold Peerenboom, son Ronnie Peerenboom, sisters Amy Reinhardt, Dorothy (Jim) Milheiser, brother Albert Leverance, sister-in-laws Marion (Milt) Ehlers, Virginia (George) Brigham, Helen Leverance, and step granddaughter Chris Drexler.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday November 25, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Fiss and Bills Poklasny Funeral Home at 865 South Westhaven Drive Oshkosh, WI 54904. The visitation will be on Friday November 24, 2017 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be on Saturday after the service at Lake View Memorial Park.
