Lawrence “Butch” A. Hall
12/13/1946 - 5/23/2025
Lawrence “Butch” Hall passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, May 23rd with his wife and beloved dog (Buddy) by his side. Butch, son of Hazel and Lawrence Hall, was born December 13th, 1946 in Two Rivers, WI.
In high school, Butch met the love of his life, Lou Gandee. While away at boot camp for the Army National Guard, he would send her countless letters about wanting to make her his “wief”. On August 5th, 1967 they got married in Two Rivers, WI and spent almost 58 wonderful years together.
Larry was a member of the Kiwanis club, Optimist club, Wrestling club, and a part of the Masonic Temple Organization. He was also a Boy Scouts Leader, wrestling coach, and football coach. Butch loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He also loved going to the casino to play poker, watching Fox News, and playing his wife in their ongoing cribbage game.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Hall Sr, mother, Hazel Hall, and sister, Barbara McCarty. He is survived by his sister, Lois (Ken) Doughty and Carol (Allen) Seidl, wife, Lou Hall, daughter, Kelly (Jerry) Melius, son, Scott (Nicole) Hall, granddaughters, Sydney Hall and Madison (Austin) Selle, and grandsons, Carson Hall and Trevor Selle.
A celebration of life is being held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 at The Bar in Oshkosh from 11am-3pm.
