LEON GULDAN's Obituary
Leon Guldan, age 80, of Oshkosh, died Thursday June 30, 2016, at his home in Oshkosh. He was born in Oshkosh on March 5, 1936, the son of the late Leo and Catherine (Kellerman) Guldan. He married Margaret Pupeter in Sacred Heart Catholic Church on July 2, 1960. Until the time of his retirement he was employed at the University of Oshkosh for thirty-seven years as a power plant operator. Leon enjoyed polka dancing, traveling and spending time with his family. He was a member of St Jude the apostle Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; Margaret Guldan, of Oshkosh, two sons; Jerome (Patti Hartenbach) Guldan, Oshkosh, Keith Guldan, Oshkosh, two daughters; Debra Schmude, Oshkosh, Sandra Joseph, Oshkosh, two grandchildren; Christina Guldan, Oshkosh, Kevin Schmude, Manawa, one great-granddaughter; Alicia Guldan, one brother; Mark (Sharon) Guldan, Oshkosh, one sister; Gloria Hoelzl, Delafield WI., and one sister-in-law; Dorothy Ahne, New Berlin WI. Leon is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers; Gerald Guldan, Donald Guldan, and one brother-in-law; George Hoelzl.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 6, at 11:00 AM in St Jude the Apostle Catholic Church (Sacred Heart worship site) with Rev William Van deKreeke and Rev Matt Simonar officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM until the hour of services.
