Leone C. Stueber's Obituary
Leone C. Stueber, age 97, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation. She was born on April 12, 1916 in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late William and Katherine (Oberhansel) Suess. She married Milton A. Stueber on September 21, 1940 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1998. Leone assisted her husband in Milt's Electric and Appliance and Sulphur Mineral Springs Water businesses. She was also an organist for organizations for various style shows at Oshkosh Care (now Northpoint Med). Leone greatly enjoyed cooking and time spent with her family.
She is survived by and her memory will be cherished by a son, Charles M. (Diane) Stueber; a daughter, Pamela "Penny" (Russ) Spaulding, both of Oshkosh; six grandchildren, Ryan (Veronica), Paul (Dawn), Jennifer (Keith) Najdowski, Lisa (Ben) Davis, Becky (Michael) Heether, Jeff (Carissa Nummerdor) Spaulding. She is further survived by nine great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, George, William, John, Raymond and Harold; a sister, Catherine Stelzner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Leone on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Josaphat Catholic Church, (corner of Walnut and Congress Avenues) in Oshkosh. The Rev. Fr. James Jugenheimer will celebrate the Mass. Entombment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. A memorial fund will be established. The family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to both Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation and to the Aurora VNA for the care and kindness that was shown both to Leone and her family.
