Leonora S. Books' Obituary
Leonora went to her heavenly home on March 16th, 2021 where she was reunited with her beloved husband, Millard W. Books, who preceded her in death in 2011. Not a day went by where Leonora didn’t think of her husband and so dearly miss him. They shared a beautiful song - “We will meet on the pathway (to Heaven) and we will walk hand in hand again”. I am certain that is exactly what happened and they walked into the kingdom hand in hand!
Leonora will be sadly missed by her family who shared and enjoyed so many wonderful times with her. To Leonora, her family was her life; from her own sisters, immediate family and many nieces and nephews.
Forever will her children: Gary (Cathie), Karen (Tim) and Sherrie (Jerry); her grandchildren: Amy, Andrew (Tiffany), Dillian, Katie, Diani, Michael, Raphael, and Amanda; and her great-grandchildren: Preston and Owen, always remember her. Leonora sang to every grandchild, as she lovingly rocked them. "You are my Sunshine" and the children will forever cherish it.
A private service will be held at Lake View Mausoleum. Entombment will take place at the Mausoleum where Leonora will take her final resting place.
The family would like to thank the hospice nurses and caregivers for their care and compassion.
