Leslie J. Frank's Obituary
Leslie J. Frank, age 83 of Oshkosh, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2009 in St. Vincent's Hospital in Green Bay. On May 4, 1926 he was born in Oshkosh, the son of Hersil and Elizabeth (Balda) Frank. Leslie worked as technician for Wisconsin Bell Telephone for 36 years. During World War II he served with U.S. Army-Air Corps in the Pacific Theater of Operation as a radio operator on B-17 Bomber. He was a member of Wisconsin Telephone Pioneers and the American Legion Cook-Fuller Post #70 and the Last Man Club II. A member of St. John Catholic Church, his hobbies included golfing, fishing, going to casinos and helping his son around the house. On June 18, 1947 he married Elizabeth Bricco in St. James Catholic Church in White Lake, WI. She survives along with his son: Scott Frank; his daughters: Kathleen (Bruce) Annis, Deborah (Robert) Koch, Michele (Arlyn) Polar, Marsha (Donald) Peterson; his 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and his brother: Robert (Doris) Frank. His parents preceded him in death.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday - June 15, 2009 in the Chapel at Lake View Memorial Park with Rev. Fr. William Van De Kreeke officiating. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park Mausoleum. Friends may greet the family from noon to 2 p.m., Monday in the chapel. Online condolances may be made at: fissbillspoklasny.com
