Linda Hammen Schroeder's Obituary
Linda Hammen Schroeder, age 72, of Oshkosh, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 19, 2021. She answered this calling while at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Little Chute WI, on October 13, 1948; the daughter of the late John and Katherine (Evers) Lamers. Linda married Douglas Hammen on September 26, 1969, he preceded her in death on January 3, 2017. She married John Schroeder on August 31, 2018. Until the time of her retirement, Linda was employed by Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists of Wisconsin. Lynn also enjoyed teaching sewing classes at a local store.
Lynn was a very special woman who was loved by many. Lynn was a talented tailor and seamstress who enjoyed creating beautiful pieces for friends and family. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, crafting, bowling and watching her grandkids sporting events. She especially loved hosting memorable gatherings for holidays and special occasions. She also enjoyed spending time with her sassy little puppy, Bailey. Above all, family was everything to her.
Linda is survived by her husband, John Schroeder of Oshkosh, two sons; Judd (Kelli) Hammen, Appleton, Jason (Keri) Hammen, Oshkosh, two daughters; Shelly (Chris) Puetz, Waterford, Carrie (Jeremy) Phillips, Oshkosh, two step-daughters; Jill (Chris) Valdez, Oshkosh, Kelly (Kirk) Farber, Hartland, sixteen grandchildren; Owen, Everett, Katelyn, Jack, Kelton, Laina, Eli, Caden, Hailey, Gavin, Logan, Emma, Violet, Jackson, Jonah and Cody, one brother, Jay (Kay) Lamers, Little Chute, one sister, Jan (Ron) Heitpas, Little Chute, sister-in-law, Deb Lamers, Little Chute, brother and sister in-laws; Tom (Claudette) Hammen, Jerry (Kathy) Hammen, Bill Conrad, Ann (Jim) Vander Sanden, Ellen (Mike) Hooyman, Mary (Dan) Romenesko, Ron (Lynn) Hammen, Sally Cleek, and Patti (Jeff) Stang. Linda is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Lamers, sister-in-law Kathy Conrad, and one grandson, Lucas Valdez.
Lynn’s family invites you to celebrate her life on Friday, April 23, 2021. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00am with a service to follow at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 830 S. Westhaven Drive, Oshkosh, WI 54904. Deacon John Ingala and Rev. Dean Desilet will be officiating.
Lynn has made our world a brighter, better place. Her legacy will live on through her family and friends.
