Linda Hill's Obituary
Linda K. Hill, age 57, of Oshkosh, WI passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012 after a short illness at the Aurora Women's Pavillion in West Allis, WI. She was born on January 7, 1955 in Oregon, Illinois, the daughter of Keith and Johanna "Jo" Myers. Linda attended Milton College in Milton, WI and graduated from Edgewood College in Madison, WI. Linda enjoyed a long career at St. Mary's and Meritor Hospitals in Madison, WI later serving as a VNA Hospice Nurse. She also taught Special Education at Verona High School in Wisconsin.
Her memory will be cherished by her mother, "Jo" Myers and her sister and brother-in-law, Leslie and Gordon Stannard, all of Rockford, IL; her very special and dedicated friend Carol Ross of Oshkosh, WI and close friends Mary Kayute of Oshkosh, WI and Cindy Grindeman of Madison, WI, all of whom lovingly cared for and supported Linda during her most difficult time. She is also survived by many other relatives, dear friends and her canine companions, Miss Tillie, Molly and Honey Bear, all of whom were very important to Linda. She was preceded in death by her father.
In keeping with Linda's wishes she was cremated and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials in her name may be directed to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society at 1925 Shelter Court, Oshkosh, WI 54901. Linda wanted to extend a special thank you to the following people for providing her with compassionate care: Dr. Peter Johnson and Dr. Ali Mahdavi, Gynecologic Oncologists at Aurora West Allis Medical Center; Laurie Kadunc, Cancer Care Navigator and Olivera Catic, Comprehensive Gynecologic Oncology Nurse. Leslie Stannard and Carol Ross want to personally thank all of the other nurses and staff on the third floor for their never ending acts of kindness. They all became Linda's Guardian Angels.
