Linda R Rasmussen's Obituary
Linda R. Rasmussen, age 70, of Oshkosh, passed away early Saturday morning September 11, 2021, at Ascension after a short illness. She was born in Oshkosh on May 8, 1951 a daughter of the late Joseph C. and Loraine E. (Tollard) Sippl. Linda was a very hard worker and spent most of her life working for Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department as a 911 dispatcher before retiring and spending her remaining time with her family.
Linda was a vivacious soul who touched the lives of everyone she came into contact with. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, reading, doing crossword puzzles, going on gambling trips, playing card games with her husband, and visiting her daughter and grandchildren in Las Vegas. Linda was an extremely generous person who was so proud of her children, grandchildren, and enjoyed sharing her many pictures of them with everyone. We love you grandma and will miss you forever.
Linda is survived by her husband of 51 years, James Rasmussen, who was her rock and provider in these last few months. As well as her two daughters; Tammi (Ben) Johnson, Las Vegas, NV, Jodi (Thomas) Rucinski, her son Matthew Rasmussen, Oshkosh, her grandchildren; Angel Rasmussen, Jemiah (Jade Petri), Gabriel, Madison, Cameron Rucinski, Maddox, Kennedi Johnson, Anjie (Jeff) Smith, Adrienne (Zack) McQuade, great grandkids Ezra McQuade and Grey Rucinski. She is also survived by cousin and lifelong best friend Laurie Fuller, and many other special family members and friends. Linda will also be dearly missed by her two fur babies Bella and Baylie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Joseph Sippl, and one sister; Brenda Sippl, one grandson; Benny Johnson, Las Vegas, brothers-in-law David, Ronald, and Noel Rasmussen and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial Mass for Linda will be held on Tuesday September 21, at 11:00 AM in St Raphael’s Catholic Church with the Rev Tom Long officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the hour of services.
