Lois E. Blechl's Obituary
Lois E. Blechl, age 94, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 14, 2022. She was born on January 27, 1928 in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late Alton and Rhea (Janke) Wilde. She married Frank L. Blechl on May 17, 1947 in St. John Catholic Church in Oshkosh. The couple proudly raised nine children together. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2014. Lois will be remembered for being very active golfing, bowling, dartball, dancing, playing cards. She was also active in her church St. John Catholic Church, American Legion, Columbus Club, Eagles Club and others. Lois treasured her time spent with her family and grand children.
She is survived by and her memory will be cherished by her children, Michael (Ellen) of Campbellsport, Mary (Ed) Van Ravenstein of Cambridge, Patsy Erdmann, Loretta (fiance Gary), special daughter-in-law, Diane Blechl, all of Oshkosh; Dan (special friend Wendy) of South Carolina, Alan (Melanie) of Neenah and Bruce of Pickett; a brother, Dale (Judy) Wilde and two sisters, Virginia Schonscheck and Darlene Kumbier; grandchildren, Luke, Megan Blechl; Lt. Col. Edward VanRavenstein III. Kristin (Jasen) Leigh; Ryan Erdmann; Julie (Collin) Groff; Alex (Allison) Blechl, Emily (Nathan) Konrad; Natasha (David) Dorsey, Ashlea (Paul) Kope and Alana (special friend, Andrew) Blechl; great-grandchildren, Miranda, Amber, Adriana and Ellexis VanRavenstein; McCoy, Jaimeson and Kadence Leigh; Dylan Sager, Devin and Kassandra Erdmann; Parker and Allie Groff, Clayton Blechl; Leah, Aubrey Dorsey and Josslyn Blechl, Ryker and Oaklyn Kope. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Frank and Randy; a sister, Donna Schonscheck; a daughter-in-law, Tammy Blechl and a son-in-law, Roger Erdmann.
Funeral services for Lois will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 11 am in the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Drive with the Rev. Louis Golamari officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 am until the time of service. In lieu of floral expressions a memorial fund will be established. The family would like to extend special thanks to the caregivers at Lake Pointe Villa and Asera Care Hospice for the care that Lois received.
