Loraine Groff's Obituary
Loraine E. Groff, age 79, of Oshkosh, passed away on Monday evening January 5, 2009 at Park View Health Center after a short illness. She was born in Oshkosh on March 31, 1929 the daughter of the late Benjamin and Rose Meidl Tollard. Loraine married Joseph Sippl on June 5, 1948. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1975. On May 14, 1977 she married Donald Groff who preceded her in death on November 30, 2006.
Loraine is survived by two daughters; Linda (James) Rasmussen, of Oshkosh, Brenda (Richard) Symoens, Pleasant Praire, one son Joseph (Dawn) Sippl, Oshkosh, her grandchildren; Tammi (Benjamin) Johnson, Las Vegas, NV., Mathew Rasmussen, Jodi (Thomas) Rucinski, Kaitlin, Megan, Callan, Austyn, and Jonah Sippl, all of oshkosh, step-grandchildren, Nathanand Tyler Symoens, great-grandchildren, Angel Rasmussen, Adrienne, Anjie, Benny, Maddox, Kennedi Johnson, Jemiah, Gabriel, Madison, and Cemeron Rucinski. Her sisters, Elaine Hasse, Francis (Leo) Demski, Vivian (Terry) Miller, Darlene Curtis, Kathleen (Timothy) Sebora, brothers, Delbert, Harold (Mary), Edward (Pat), Claude (Mary) Tollard, brother and sisters-in-law, James (Julene) Groff, Ruth Sippl, and Rose Spurgeon. Loraine is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers; Chester and Calvin Tollard.
Loraine was a very giving person who was so proud of her children, grandchildren, and enjoyed sharing her many pictures of them with everyone. We love you, Mom, and will miss you forever.
Loraine's family wishes to extend a very special Thank you to everyone at Park View Health center for the care and love they gave to our mother and grandmother. Loraine told us she lived in a Five-Star Hotel.
A service celebrating Loraine's life will be held on Friday January 9, at 11:00AM in ST. Raphael's Catholic Church with the Rev. Doug La Captain officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00AM until the hour of services. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established
