Loretta M Bellin's Obituary
Loretta M. Bellin, age 83, of Oshkosh passed away in the comfort of her home on Sunday afternoon November 18, 2018. Loretta was born in Marytown, WI on August 24, 1935 the daughter of Fred and Margaret (Guelig) Blumenberg. Loretta moved to Omro in 1937 and graduated from Omro High School in 1953. She married John Bellin on May 10, 1958 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Omro officiated by Father Francart. She was a faithful member of Most Blessed Sacrament (St. Peter's Church).
Loretta devoted much of her adult life researching her family roots and wrote and published several books documenting the family’s lineage. She spent countless hours sewing Halloween costumes for her children and grandchildren, and various other handmade gift items for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Loretta documented her children’s and grand children’s lives through memory books filled with photos, cards, and special moments. She loved reading, gardening, cake decorating, and ceramics. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
Loretta is survived by her husband John. Her children; Teri Bellin, Cheryl (Peter) Sehrbrock, Jeffrey (Rita) Bellin and her daughter-in-law Mary Bellin. Grandchildren; Kristin (Jeff) Ahrens, Stephanie (Ben) Jennejohn, Kelly (Devon) Stratman, Travis Bellin, Calli (Thomas) Pilak and Heidi (Matt) Janusz. Great grandchildren; Lily Bellin, Crina Stratman, Marianne Ahrens, Madisyn Bellin, Coltin Bellin, Violet Jennejohn and Evelyn Jennejohn. Sisters; Kathleen Grimm and Carol Wallace.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Scott Bellin, grandson Coltin Bellin, sister Betty Wrage, brothers-in-law Garth Grimm, Emerson Wrage, Earl Wallace. Faithful Canine Companions; Lassie, Lass-Tu, Shami and Katie.
Private family services were held at Lake View Cemetery Chapel.
