Loretta Butt's Obituary
Loretta C. Butt, age 94, of Oshkosh, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the Vallhaven Care Center in Neenah. She was born on May 21, 1916 in Oshkosh, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Christina Balda. She married Alfred C. Butt on November 16, 1935 and Alfred preceded her in death in 1981. Loretta will be remembered as an avid golfer, (well in to her 80's), and enjoyed bowling along with reading, traveling and crossword puzzles. She was a Crossing Guard at Reed School for many years.
Her memory will be cherished by two daughters, Donna (Bill) Bouras of Leopolis, Wisconsin and Bonita Thompson of Oshkosh; ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Noel; granddaughter, Sue Ann; brothers, George and Paul; sisters, Bertha, Emma and Elizabeth and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Loretta will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Poklasny Funeral Home, 870 W. South Park Ave. in Oshkosh. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Ellenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
