Loretta E. Kulibert's Obituary
Loretta E. Kulibert, age 91, of Oshkosh, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at her home. She was born in Oshkosh on March 1, 1923. She was the first daughter born to Clara (Jungwirth) and August F. Raddatz along with five brothers and five sisters. She was a tremendous help to her parents in helping to raise her siblings and often spoke about her brothers and sisters as “her kids”. On July 10, 1943 she married Elmer F. Kulibert in Oshkosh and they were married 66 years until Elmer passed away in 2009. She greatly enjoyed league bowling, playing cards and special overnight trips to the casinos. Loretta took many trips to Las Vegas with her daughters and experienced a few lucky streaks with her poker playing. She also enjoyed her monthly breakfast with her cousins and her weekly movie excursions with her sisters. Barley, her dachshund, always brought a smile to her face and was a wonderful companion. Loretta will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Loretta is survived by a son, Gary (Brenda) Kulibert of Rhinelander; two daughters, Linda (Larry) Schuhart of Oshkosh and Donna Crowner of Kannapolis, NC; a brother, Thomas (Gerri) Raddatz; five sisters, Laverne Patryn, North Adams, MA, Germaine (Angel) Alaniz, Schererville, IN, Delores (Charles) Wickman, Marlene Monday, and Carol (George) Frohrib, all of Oshkosh. She is further survived by six grandchildren, Heather, Heidi, Lance, Loren, Richard and Jonathan; three great-grandchildren, Connor, Cody and Maxwell; other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer and an infant son, James; brothers, Edwin (Virginia) Raddatz, Willard (Betty) Raddatz, Gilbert Raddatz and Gerald Raddatz and brother-in-laws, John Patryn and Daniel Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Loretta on Friday, September 12, 2014 (TODAY) at 11:00 a.m. in St. Jude Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the corner of 6th Street and Knapp Street in Oshkosh. The Rev. Fr. Matt Simonar will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Oshkosh. There will be a time of visitation and support for the Kulibert family at the church on Friday, (TODAY), from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of floral expressions, a memorial fund will be established in Loretta’s name.
