Lori R. "Big Mama" Gordon's Obituary
Lori Renee Gordon, “Big Mama” age 68, of Waupaca, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 29th, 2024, at Theda Care (Theda Clark Regional Hospital) in Neenah. She was born on August 5th, 1956, in Oshkosh, WI, a daughter of the late Roland and Lucille (Anders) Williquette. On October 21st, 1978, she married Tim Gordon. Lori had numerous jobs in Oshkosh during and after high school. She enjoyed gardening in the summer, crafting, and traveling all over the US. She wrote once that her greatest accomplishment was giving birth to her son, Ben, in 1993. “Although he was only 4.5lbs at birth, he is now a happy, healthy, 6 foot almost 200lb young man.” She always dressed beautifully, with colorful, matching jewelry, and a smile. One of her greatest joys was decorating the home, inside and out, with seasonal decorations, flowers, and plants. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by and her memory will be cherished by her husband of 46 years, Tim of Waupaca; two children, Amber (Brandon) Scott of Columbia, Kentucky; and Benjamin Gordon of Las Vegas, NV; one truly special granddaughter, Trillian Schlaeppi, of Milwaukee, WI. She is further survived by two brothers, Jeff (Patsy) Williquette of Neenah and Roger Williquette of Kingman, Arizona; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many very dear friends. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Gordon;
Funeral services for Lori will be held on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024 at 3 pm in the Fiss and Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home 865 S. Westhaven Drive, Oshkosh, WI 54904. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 12 noon until the time of service. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the fifth floor doctors and nurses at Theda Care along with the hospice care of Amanda and her team.
