Lorraine M. Eberle's Obituary
Lorraine M. Eberle, age 82, of Oshkosh, died peacefully on Sunday, January 27, 2019. Lorraine was born in Omro a daughter of the late Ralph and Josephine (Geib) Eberle. She grew up in Omro, attending Omro High School and UW-Oshkosh. She taught elementary school for 35 years at Widmer, Sunset, Green Meadow and Roosevelt Schools, all in Oshkosh. Lorraine loved to spend time with her cats, sew, golf, travel and volunteering. She was very active with here church, church choir, EAA and the Grand Theater. She was also a member of the Red Hats and the Lakeshore ladies golf league.
She is survived by and her memory will be cherished by her nieces and nephews, Mary Eberle (Mike Clark), Elizabeth Eberle, James Eberle (Carol Titus), Nancy Eberle (Paul Terranova), and Bill Eberle (Melissa Eberle). She is further survived by her great nephews and a niece, Joseph and Benjamin Terranova, Sam Eberle, and Lindsey Eberle. As part of her 35 years of teaching students, Lorraine touched hundreds of lives and will be missed not only by her family but all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond and Ralph and a sister, Marie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Lorraine on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 11:00 am in St. Jude Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, corner of 6th and Knapp Streets in Oshkosh. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of Mass. Burial will be in Omro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to the American Heart Association in her name. The family would like to thank Evergreen Nursing Home, Home Instead and Stan and Steve Ziblut for all of their time and help over the last few years.
