Lorraine M. (Szep) Fischer's Obituary
Lorraine M. (Szep) Fischer, age 95, of Oshkosh, otherwise known as “Mumma” to her late husband Clarence, gained her heavenly wings on December 6, 2023. Lorraine was born on September 19, 1928 in Oshkosh and married Clarence Fischer on May 10, 1947 in St. Josaphat Catholic Church. She was very proud of the fact that she and her Clarence were married just over 75 years. Lorraine had six children and numerous grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren. Lorraine loved life and she and Clarence traveled the world in their retirement and greatly enjoyed their “happy hours” every day at 4 pm (although as the years passed that got pushed up to 3:30 or earlier). Lorraine enjoyed in no particular order, bowling, cribbage, boating, snowmobiling, family gatherings and just plain having a good time. Lorraine was very proud of the home she picked out of a newspaper ad which was located on Lake Winnebago. She and Clarence spent many a summer day out fishing or relaxing in the screen house. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; a son Gerry; her daughter, Karen; a grandson, Brian Delfosse and two special mutts, Sugar and Spice.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Cheryl Fischer, Susan (Jim) Delfosse, Ellen Fowler and her special son, Joseph. Joe insured that his Mom could live out her years in her home on the lake by taking care of her and the home. Private family services were held and burial was next to her beloved husband Clarence in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Lorraine will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice of Fond du Lac for providing such tender, loving care to Lorraine during her last days here on earth. They were such a blessing to Lorraine and the family. Many thanks also to her neighbors (you know who you are) especially for stopping by and sharing and visiting.
