Lorraine Rivers' Obituary
Lorraine M. Rivers 85 of Oshkosh passed away in the early hours on October 4, 2014 in the loving care of her daughters. She was born April 19, 1929 in Oshkosh, the daughter of Frank and Mary Ratchman Traxler. Lorraine is survived by her devoted husband Aloysious Rivers; her daughters Mary (Vernon) DeWitt and Lori (Steve) Herman: her grandchildren Joseph (Kelly) DeWitt, Katelyn DeWitt, Alyssa Herman, Alex Herman, and Andrew Herman; her siblings Arleine Bathke, Margie Bauer, and Paul (Donna) Traxler; and sister-in-laws Doris and Joyce Traxler; and her many adoring nieces and nephews. Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Mary Traxler and her brothers Lawrence and Thomas Traxler; and in-laws Edward Bauer, John Bathke, Marilyn Traxler and Alice Traxler. Lorraine enjoyed dancing, traveling and spending countless hours with her grandchildren. She was a loving and caring woman who would do anything for her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Jude Parish, Sacred Heart Church on sixth and Knapp St; the Rev Michael Warden officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Church Thursday, from 9am until the time of services. The family would like to say a special Thank You to Evergreen Retirement Community for the care and support given to Lorraine over the past few years. We would also like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Aurora Medical Center for their excellent care and compassion they showed Lorraine. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established at Evergreen Retirement Community.
