Lorriane Brown's Obituary
Lorraine E. Brown, age 90, of Oshkosh, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the Bethel Home. She was born on June 25, 1918 in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late Herman and Elizabeth (Frank) Schmalz. She married Gordon C. Brown in May of 1968 at Grace Lutheran Church. Lorraine was a very active lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh and was a member of the Grace Circle. She greatly enjoyed cooking and crafts. Lorraine deeply loved her husband and had been caring for him with his health issues for the past five years. She also enjoyed her nieces and nephews and their families. Lorraine will be remembered by them for her fondness of them and for her great generosity towards them. Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Gordon C. of Oshkosh; three brother-in-laws, Frederick Stearns, William White and Melvin Rymer. She is further survived by many loving nieces and nephews, other relatives and many very dear friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by seven sisters, Carrie, Lucy, Lilliian, Ruth, Bernice, Dorothy and Violet; and a brother, Gilbert. Funeral services for Lorraine will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 913 Nebraska Street with the Reverend Chadwick L. Graham officiating. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of floral expressions, memorials in Lorraine's name may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
