Louise M. Boese's Obituary
Louise Marie Boese (nee Schoblaske)
Louise Marie Boese, 69, passed gently into the loving arms of God on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, 2014. She received the last rites in her home with her husband, children and grandchildren at her side.
Louise was born on March 23, 1945, in Oshkosh. She was the daughter of Vera Lewellyn Schoblaske, a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse, and Richard “Dick” Schoblaske who worked at Kimberly-Clark. Vera died shortly after Louise was born, having the opportunity to hold her only once before she passed. Louise looked forward to the day that she would have the opportunity to meet and spend time with her mother in Heaven. We are so happy that this day has come for her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by many dear relatives and friends.
Louise attended St. John’s school in Oshkosh and Lourdes Academy, where she was a member of the first four-year graduating class. She went on to study nursing in Chicago and was a pediatric intensive care nurse until she retired to become a stay-at-home mom. She was also the co-owner of Misty Pines campground in Wautoma, Wisconsin. Louise was a lady who loved the Lord and she attended services at New Life Community Church in Oshkosh and a variety of Catholic parishes. She was born and raised in the Catholic faith.
Louise married Keith Boese on December 17 1966. She and Keith have five children, Lisa (Douglas) Miles of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Scott (Kerry Malak) Boese, Milwaukee; Brian (Jenny) Boese, Oshkosh; Kelli Boese, Oshkosh; and Richard Boese, Oshkosh. They have nine grandchildren, Nichole, Ashley, Bryanna and Logan Boese; Adli, Indio, Kora and Isla Boese; Ava Miles; and one great-granddaughter, Riley. Louise also had a dog whom she dearly loved, Oreo.
Louise’s greatest joy was spending time with all of her loved ones and helping them in any way she could. She was known by all for her kind and caring nature. She gave generously to everyone with no thought to her own wants and needs. She was the rare individual who truly cared for others more than herself. For this we mourn her passing from this world, as the world needs more people like Louise.
In her free time, Louise loved talking to her many friends and family members on the phone. She enjoyed traveling around the United States and Canada with her husband, attending Amish markets and benefits, and watching Dancing with the Stars. She was a fan of country singer Don Williams and attended her sixth Don Williams concert in April, just weeks before her passing.
Louise was a sweet, smart, kind and fun person to spend time with and she will be greatly missed by all until the day we are reunited in death. Until then we know that we have a true guardian angel and champion for all of us in Heaven. God granted us the very best mother, wife, grandmother and friend He had and we are eternally grateful.
Funeral services for Louise will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. in the Poklasny Funeral Home, 870 W. South Park Ave in Oshkosh. A time of visitation and support will be held at the funeral home for the family from 3 p.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund will be established. The family wishes to thank the staff at Eden Meadows for the care and concern that was extended to Louise and her family.
