Luella A. Gogolewski's Obituary
Luella A. Gogolewski, age 103 of Oshkosh passed away on Friday evening August 26, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center. Luella was born in Oshkosh on October 11, 1912 the daughter of Oscar and Katherine (Tadych) Lewellyn. Ms. Gogolewski attended and graduated from St. Peter Catholic School in 1930. In October of 1934 she married Frank Gogolewski who preceded her in death on April 11, 1978. She was very active in the Aquinas Club of St. Peter Church. Luella and Frank enjoyed square dancing, card playing and traveling to visit their daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. Luella did catering in private homes for several years and administered the school lunch program at the Training School in Oshkosh from which she retired in 1975. In 2005 she moved to Arbor View where she participated in many activities and enjoyed life in her apartment.
Ms. Gogolewski is survived by her daughter, Katherine (Daniel) Nelipovich of Santa Rosa, CA; granddaughter Amy Nelipovich of Minneapolis, MN and grandson Marc Nelipovich of Austin, TX along with several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. The family is greatly appreciative of all the help of special angels Jeanette Neumann and Mary Thomas. Thanks also to Doreen Gogolewski for her care and concern.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday September 1, 2016 at 11 am at Most Blessed Sacrament (St. Peter's Catholic Church 435 High Ave. Oshkosh, WI 54901) Father James Jugenheimer will be the celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10 am until the time of Mass. Committal services will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
A special thanks to the staff at Arbor View Assisted Living Center where Mrs. Gogolewski resided for the past 10 years. The family is very grateful to the staff at Mercy Medical Center for their excellent care during her 5 days there.
In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Luella's name.
