Genevieve M. Krueger's Obituary
Genevieve M. Krueger, age 76, of Oshkosh, passed away surrounded by her family on March 20, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on July 2, 1937 in Oshkosh a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Ruedinger) Neubauer. She married Gerhard A. Krueger on December 1, 1956 in St. Vincent Catholic Church. The couple celebrated 50 years of marriage on December 1, 2006 and he preceded her in death on May 7, 2007. Genevieve was a lifelong member of St. Vincent Catholic Church and had worked for Mercy Medical Center for many years, retiring in 1999.
She is survived by and her memory will be cherished by her children, Julie (John) Kaelin of Oshkosh, Mary Schapekahm of Poy Sippi, Susan Krueger, Linda (Robert) Hurkman, Garry Krueger, all of Oshkosh, Christine (Maxim) Gehrke of Sanger, TX, Cynthia Krueger of Racine, and David (Sherry) Krueger of Oshkosh; a brother, Clifford (Patricia) Neubauer; two sisters, Mary Jane Neubauer and Rosalie (Jack) Ihrig, all of Oshkosh; thirteen grandchildren, Allison Kaelin, Abby and Adam Schapekahm, Jamie, Amy, Michael Krueger, Joely Hurkman, Bradley Starr, Andrew and Matthew Krueger, Brandon Gehrke, Maurice Krueger, Lisa Rufer; great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Allie, Lily, Owen, Lucy, Olivia, Margaret, Landon and Jaxson. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Wolfgang Krueger.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Genevieve on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Jude Parish, St. Vincent Catholic Church, the corner of Oregon St. and South Park Avenue in Oshkosh. The Reverend Matt Simonar and Reverend William Van DeKreeke will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. A memorial fund will be established. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the:
